My Favourite Breakfast 'Bits'

If you seem to be in a rut on just what groceries to be stocking up on for the most important (and my favoruite) meal of the day, I've got you covered!
Over the years, after a lot of experimenting with different sweet and savoury styles, I have shortlisted a couple of bits that I find essential when it comes to curating a heavenly, mouth-watering breakfast meal.
Let's get down to business!
1. Granola
Crunchy, sweet and oh-so delicious! You can definitely NOT go wrong with having a bowl of yoghurt with a sprinkle of granola to start your day. I have tried my fair share of different brands over the past few years, and it's safe to say that I have a FAVOURITE!
The 'Love Crunch Dark Chocolate and Red Berries' Granola by Nature's Path is hands down the best of the lot in my opinion. The best part is that there are little square pieces of dark chocolate that melt in your mouth... YUM! I mean who wouldn't want a morning with a hint of chocolate!?

2. Coconut Flakes
This one sounds simple enough... but trust me, adding just a sprinkle of some dried coconut flakes is such a great way to add that extra something to an acai bowl, a smoothie bowl, a morning pancake stack or even just a plain bowl of oatmeal! A small handful of these crunchy flakes go a long way in the morning!

3. NUT BUTTERS

I just had to add the capital letters to emphasize my obsession with this item...
If you haven't heard of nut butters being all the rage recently, where have you been!?
Don't get me wrong, I was one happy gal with my (big) spoon and jar of Peanut Butter pretty much all my life, but honestly, bless whoever thought it would be a good idea to grind up cashews and almonds, because that person changed our lives forever...
Cashew butter and Chocolate-hazelnut butter are my absolute favourites next to Peanut Butter.
You can literally put them in/on everything. From oatmeal to toast to apples, nut butters are undeniably my most used breakfast item!
4. Chia Seeds

After becoming undeniably popular in the health-food industry, this superfood has been recommended, promoted and used increasingly in the market.
But how can they be used at home? Amongst the variety of uses, my favourites are: making chia pudding, overnight-oats or just sprinkling them over a smoothie-bowl.
